William (Bill) Barber
Information Security Instructor & Fully Qualified Navy Validator
Mr. Bill Barber is an Information Security Instructor and a Fully Qualified Navy Validator (FQNV) for Sentek Global and supports the Navy Security Control Assessor (SCA) as an SCA Liaison and Technical Lead. He is also representing the Navy SCA on the Navy RMF Working Group, having developed the Navy RMF Risk Assessment Report (RAR) and other supporting artifacts. He previously supported Naval Medical Center San Diego performing Information Security program management and engineering for their enterprise network. Mr. Barber has over 18 years of experience in Information Systems Security operations and management. The depth of his experience ranges from troubleshooting 1960s era computers to implementing security controls on leading edge technologies. Prior to joining Sentek Global, Mr. Barber spent 5 years supporting the Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) fulfilling the role of Certification Agent / Security Engineer for the acquisition of custom RADAR, telemetry, optics, and data analysis IT. He also assisted in the design and implementation of a command-wide Information Security program that enabled PMRF to manage their diverse technologies and asset portfolio, including specialized embedded and control systems. Mr. Barber has also worked on the Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) project, IT-21 initiative, and as a Technical Support Engineer for a telecommunications manufacturer. He retired from the United States Navy, having completed over 22 years of Active and Reserve service.
Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Cameron Matthews is the Chief Technology Officer for Sentek Global. Mr. Matthews studied computer science and mathematics at San Diego State University and Loma Linda University.
Mr. Matthews has over 20 years of experience in software engineering, system architectures, data fusion strategies, and program management. His experience ranges across many verticals including healthcare and medical informatics, security, electronic commerce, transportation, telecommunications, and education.
Prior to joining Sentek Global, Mr. Matthews held CTO and VP of Software Engineering positions at a number of San Francisco- and San Diego-based commercial companies.
Additionally, Mr. Matthews has played key technical and program management roles in large Department of Defense projects during his 12-year tenure with Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC). These projects included the $1.02 billion Composite Health Care System (CHCS) project, the $46 million Pacific Medical Network (PACMEDNET) project, and many other healthcare, security, and electronic commerce projects.
