Part of our team’s philanthropic initiatives is to partner with charitable organizations such as Saved in America (SIA). SIA is a non-profit charity run by both veterans and former law enforcement. Their mission is to help save children from the rampant sex trafficking that occurs across our country. It’s not an easy subject to discuss and therefore might not get the amount of coverage it deserves. Up to 300,000 Americans under 18 are lured into the commercial sex trade every year and this number is growing. This has become an increasing threat as gangs and cartels realize the financial gain.
Sentek Global stands against sex trafficking and through our partnership with SIA, we hope to save and rehabilitate victims of these horrendous crimes.
By working with local law enforcement, SIA helps track down predators to help save girls that have been taken from their home and forced into prostitution. Today, 137 girls have been saved by SIA since 2014 and we hope to further their amazing work. Time is of the essence for these operations and SIA works quickly and efficiently with 60% of all recovered children being found before being trafficked. Sentek Global has supported SIA through charitable donations, sponsorship and the offering of our services to help them track down these missing girls.
Recently, Sentek Global and our CEO, Eric Basu, were awarded both the Mission Child Saved Not Sold and Special Recognition Awards for our continuous effort to help SIA with their mission.
