This was conducted as part of the company’s STEM outreach program, which also included the recent California Mayor’s Cyber Cup.
The challenge began in November 2018 with a virtual practice round for 400 middle school and high school students from throughout Southern California. From there, they moved onto the qualifiers round, after which 100 students (16 teams) qualified for the finals which were held on Saturday, February 16th. All of these rounds were developed and held on the Haiku Cyber Range with the practice round scenario developed in collaboration with a team of National University cybersecurity graduate students.
Congratulations to all teams who participated!
We are proud to share that the Haiku Cyber Range has also been selected as the official cyber range for the California Mayors Cyber Cup. On Saturday, February 23rd, over 1,200 students from across the state will be competing in regional competitions as part of a state-wide effort to increase cybersecurity education and awareness.
