Sentek Global Announces Strategic Reorganization

Press Release

  • Company divides business operations into three Business Units
  • Russ Novak, Justin Parker, and Ryan Cox are named Directors in new organizational structure

SAN DIEGO, California, February 5, 2019: Sentek Global has announced a strategic reorganization that will better position the company to focus on serving its current defense and commercial cybersecurity, engineering, and information technology employees and clients while accelerating the development and release of new innovative service and product offerings throughout the organization.

This new structure organizes Sentek Global’s core business operations–including its government and commercial client service support, Sentek Global’s Customer Innovation program (SCIP), business development, and product development–into three business units, each under the direction of three newly promoted Business Unit Directors.

Mr. Russ Novak, Business Unit Director, Mission Assurance Advanced Solutions (MAAS)

Mr. Russ Novak is being promoted to the Director of the Mission Assurance Advanced Solutions Business Unit. Mr. Novak is a Command and Control expert with special emphasis in System Architecture and Requirements Engineering and has been with Sentek Global for over seven years. Prior to his time at Sentek Global, Novak served as a U.S. Navy Intelligence Officer. Novak holds a B.A. in German from Rutgers University, and is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Command & Staff College and the Defense Intelligence Agency Joint Military Attaché School.

Novak explains, “Under the new structure, our subject matter experts across the three Business Units will be provided with more flexibility and with streamlined internal communications. This is particularly exciting because this will fast-track their ability to implement new and innovative ways of supporting clients, as well as provide more opportunities to grow their own skills through hands-on experience and training utilizing Sentek Global’s cybersecurity professional association, ‘Cyber Corps,’ and Sentek Global’s newly developed cybersecurity training platform, the Haiku Cyber Range.”

Mr. Justin Parker, Business Unit Director, Mission Communication & Integration Solutions (MCIS)

Mr. Justin Parker is being promoted to the Director of the Mission Communication & Integration Solutions Business Unit. Mr. Parker joined Sentek Global in 2009 as a Systems Engineer shortly after his time as a U.S. Air Force Officer. A diverse background in both government and commercial industries has provided Mr. Parker with experience encompassing the full spectrum of executive-level support, operations, new product development and problem-solving. Mr. Parker graduated from the University of California, San Diego with an M.S. in Architecture Enterprise Systems Engineering; the University of San Diego with an M.S. in Global Leadership and Management; the United States Air Force Academy with a B.S. Human Factors Engineering; and Harvard Law School with a certificate in negotiation.

“The structure of the three business units enables myself and the other Business Unit Directors the flexibility to shape our operations around the needs of our current employees and clients,” states Mr. Parker. “This flexibility creates efficiency which provides our Business Units with the time and means to develop leading-edge solutions to meet market needs, such as our Risk Management Framework Surge Support Services.”

Mr. Ryan Cox, Business Unit Director, Mission Innovation & Technology Solutions (MITS)

Mr. Ryan Cox is being promoted to the Director of the Mission Innovation & Technology Solutions Business Unit. Mr. Cox is a Senior Executive with over 22 years of operations and sales leadership experience. He has specific subject matter expertise in foreign military sales (FMS) and an extensive track record of successfully fostering innovative solutions to the Sentek Global customer base. Mr. Cox, previously a Surface Warfare Officer, graduated from the United States Naval Academy with a B.S. in Oceanography. He is also a former President of AFCEA NOVA Chapter.

Mr. Cox shares, “The new business structure allows for scalable growth along with the freedom to optimize operations for the benefit of our clients and team. Our Business Units are formed around client, contract, and market needs. With a more autonomous and flexible approach, there is no limit to the support and services we can provide to our clients.”
